Christopher Bates is an international award-winning
Canadian fashion designer based in Milan, where he studied at Istituto
Marangoni and has designed and produced his collections in Italy for nearly two
decades. Known for refined tailoring, modern sophistication, clever details,
and exceptional Italian craftsmanship, Bates has built a distinctive eponymous
brand with an international clientele. He was named Canadian Menswear
Designer of the Year at the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards and received
the Fashion Group International Visionary Award. His career includes
designing Air Canada’s award-winning uniform program, officially licensed
collaborations with Paramount for Top Gun and The Godfather, and
dressing prominent figures from film, music, sport, and entertainment.
